For the week of August 8th, the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA) recorded a national diesel average cost per gallon of $4.993.

For 48 days in a row, the average price for a gallon of gasoline has dropped - but it’s not all rainbows and butterflies.

The Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration released the latest weekly average retail diesel price as $5.268 a gallon, a 6.4-cent decline from the previous week.

Diesel prices continue to decline for the fourth week in a row, albeit very slowly.

Diesel prices are still seemingly through the roof, but believe it or not… its trajectory is aiming down.
